The nomination of Sarah Palin as the Vice Presidential candidate for the Republican Party is having it's intended effect. She has become a celebrity.

It is very difficult to understand how one sees her as an attractive candidate for the office, easier to see how one sees her as celebrity. It is cynical of the Republican Party to put forward an attractive woman, unqualified, attack dog, seemingly the polar opposite of John McCain. A cynical reach for the vote of women?
